P&I Clubs
P&I clubs are mutual insurance associations that provide protection and indemnity insurance for shipowners and other maritime businesses. They are not-for-profit organizations where members pool their risks, and the clubs cover liabilities such as pollution, cargo claims, and fines. The leading clubs form an association called the International Group of P&I Clubs, which shares large claims and represents member interests collectively
